2142 + vista 32bit home prem prob

Quick question i cant seem to find the answer too, when i run the game i get 'bf2142pace.exe' has stopped responding , any ideas how to get this to work plz ?

Did you use the EA downloader to purchase and download the game?

thanks for that, tried doing the compatibility changes but still same error , trying to remember how to find my serial for it so i can try using a disc to install

log into to ea link thing, then goto your account, and all your keys will be displayed there

I've had this problem but in 64 bit. I didn't know how to fix it, and eventually gave up.

A month and a reformat later, I downloaded it today, and it's working now. :/

It's down to luck. Always is, with EA software.

aint that the truth, i did a re-format and re-install and it worked fine, except for a few punkbuster kicks on a couple of servers

Make sure you run the game as administrator.

Also, check your pb is up to date by running the tool on www.evenbalance.com

In 64bit vista I had to run it in win95 compatibility mode for a while, the latest patch seemed to sort it though...
