pain in the neck to change over faff wise rather than expense - but anyone else have problems with what seems the bearings on their stock fan ?

basically at a set RPM the noise starts off dreadful ... almost like a mini mini mower (thats sort of noise but a lot quieter of course) but over a period of minutes it gets quieter and quieter

doesn't get totally quiet but gets better

is this a sign that the bearings are either shot or of poor quality ?
 
It shouldn't sound like that. Did you stress the fan blades, and as a result the bearing during fitting?
Is it old or recently purchased/fitted?
