22 inch screen - which 4800?

I've heard that on high resolution screens like 1680x1050, that the faster memory on the 4870 really gives an appreciable boost to framerates over the 4850. Is it worth paying the extra?

I run 1600x1200 and I got the 4870, just for the fact that i'm covered a bit more in the future, also it allows me to layer the AA on with little performance hit.

A 4850 would also be suitable at that resolution though.

I think it really comes down to how much you have to spend.

4850. perfect for that res and higher tbh.

4870 for my 20" Widescreen so it really is your shout, again I went for that extra bit of cover in the future.

4850 on a 22" here and it laps it up ( saying that my 4850 is clocked @ 750/2250 )

I got a 22" and got a 4870 coz it should last a little longer than the 4850.
