I'm torn between saving some cash and getting the ASUS 22", or going all out for the Dell 24". As my predominant game time (when I get any) is in EVE, just wondering if any other players use either of these panels and what they thought?

ATM a x1800xt-x but will be upgrading to what ever the DX10 monster is in April/May. I appreciate that I may have to run the Dell at a lower res for a while.

If you can afford it get the 24", if not get the 22" It's all a question of your budget and what you'd prefer, only you can make that decision.

for playing eve. I would say bigger is better :D

I have just gone from a 20"nec which was great to a Dell 3007.

Set eve to max and OMG  I am in space :D

I went for the 2407 in the end and ordered it early yesterday. Didn't come today as another item in the order item suddenly went out of stock (stills shows as in stock on the site). Unable to contact OcUK by phone as it was constantly engaged, really unhappy with the whole situation and now I see the price has dropped by £10.00. When I finally get the monitor it'll more than likely be my last order with them.

hardly their fault you ordered at the wrong time.
try using the webnote system or call back later.
been using OcUK for over 6-7 years now (back when they did pre overclocked CPUs) and I've always found that I am able to get though on the phones relativly easly.

also, for EVE, res is everything

I'd be interested how people find using bigger tfts with eve.

Currently I am forced to play in a res of 1280x960.

Do people find bigger res makes more of a strain on their system when doing pvp etc.

I usually play two accounts not for pvp of course. So was toying with dual monitor setup.

tbh, I've had no issues, used to play with two clients at 1600x1200 on my CRT with a 9700pro
0 issues.

that INCLUDES big fleet stuff.
currently play 1440x900 on my TFT with 0 issues.
