Not buying until I get paid after easter but figured its good to get a bit of research done first!

Anyway, spec is in my sig. Currently using a 19" monitor at 1440 x 900 and can average around 60fps in World at War and around 40fps in GRID with all settings maxed out.

Just wondering if playing at 1920 x 1080 on a 24" will be absolutely awful or will just turning a few settings down make it alright? As long as Im getting 30+ frames per sec in my games Im not too bothered. Or would you guys say just go for a 22" and save a bit of money? I do watch films on my PC as well though so the possibility of full HD would be a bonus.

Thanks for any info :)

You are currently in the sweet spot. Any higher res on the 8800gt and it will struggle.

I'm a bit worried my 4870x2 wont cut the mustard with my new 24" screen.

My 8800gtOC2 struggled a little bit in some games @22" so I would stick to that as the max. (Unless you want an excuse to upgrade your graphics card ;-)

Haha, I would love to upgrade my graphics card, but this is a brand new one, just got it as a replacement off BFG for my dead 8800GTS. Plus I dont have the spare cash anyway. Going to have just under £200 to spend, so will be able to get a better quality screen if I went 22" instead of 24" I guess?

For that money you will get a better quality 22" screen.
