Hey guys,

I have recently posted on another thread about what make and size should I decided to get, building a new system, blah blah... but what I didn't think about is the graphics card and what the quality of the picture will be like if I decided to go with a 24".

I'm a heavy gamer and love to watch films on the computer, but mainly gaming... I would like to run my xbox 360 on it and get HD quality.

With the 24", my friends feels I would need a good graphics card, either the 9800GTX/GX2, even tho most people of OC forum say 8800GTX. Apparently, when you have a 24", you need to make sure your able to run 24" at max res (1920x1200) or the quality will be poor and lower res will be fussy and this will be annoying. If games struggle with that res (i.e. Crysis), I would need to lower the res/quality and still the game will look poor.

My friends recommend 22" and told me to forget running the xbox and buy a new LCD TV with HD, so I won't experience major fussiness like I would with 24" at low res and it will still be big enough for running films on my computer.

Now, I would like to have other people reviews on this situation. If you had a 22" and switched to 24", have you experienced problems at low res for certain games with the 24"? What is the quality like? If you had to choose a 22", what would you suggest?

I'm looking at around £400, maybe £500.

I was looking at the BenQ FP241W 24" and 1 of the Dell Ultrasharp 2407/08WFP-HC 24". I heard a 22" Samsung are good.

I was thinking, I could get the 24" monitor and get a 8800GTX or I could get a 22" Samsung, with 2x 8800GTX so I'll go SLI, what you think?

basically the only game that it would struggle would be crysis...

So its between the BenQ and Dell now, if you had to pick Dell 07/08? and from BenQ 24" or the dell you picked?

Do you just get low fps on a 1920x1200 with Crysis or its a problem with any res... would consider getting SLI otherwise - Isn't because of Crysis, just incase future games will be demanding.
