22 widescreen TFT just for Gaming

Its just that mine wasn't and I have heard rumblings that OCUK have several suppliers and it could all be "older" stock more likely to be Slovak. Not that Slovakian screens are worse than any other.....ooooo nearly opened the can labelled worms again.....:p

Well I'll just repeat myself again, as I think that the monitor is that good it is worth repeating it twice :D

The colours are very vivid, it required very little calibration to get the quality as I like and the overall build quality is impressive.

No complaints at all from me.

Perhaps I am being over picky ? I dunno...I just like perfect things :)

Other than the slight backlight bleed....its a wonderful screen, gaming is a joy, I just notice the little backlight bleed when I go sniper, with the scope edges being completly black.

It was found during my pre use checks, pixel buddy and the like, so on a completely black background I noticed it.
But in games, there is no sign of it unless you go sniper in dark places and then there is a slight hint of it especially at the middle of the left and right edges....as per the pics earlier.

Ive never been fussed about backlight bleed, i had it to the far left and far right of my 226bw but nothing to moan about really. My dell 2407wfp has none but i can't say i'd care even if it did tbh

some people are too fussy! :p

My 226BW arrived yesterday. Its a stunning monitor, awesome colours but hugely disappointed with the backlight bleed from the sides. Typically I had not read about in other reviews as this would definitely have swayed my decision. Luckily though there were no dead pixels which would have been a double whammy.

Edit: My bleed is worse than the images posted above.

Thanks for the info. and for whoever posted the pics. I guess i'm one of the picky ones and would like a monitor that has very little backlight leakage. Thanks to you guys i can sratch the 226bw off my list.

same as clone got a 24" dell no back light bleed but my sons 22" peble is awfull if your looking at a black screen but you hardly notice it while playing games watching telly but it is improving he's had it a couple of weeks and it is not as bad as the first time i turned it on...

Well, here is mine again, following 5 days continuous use
Same test screen,
Same camera
Same lighting conditions
