226BW Issues

Sorry to make another thread but the other is very large and many questions havent been looked at...

Currently running the S model of the 226BW.

Geforce 8800 GTX 768MB

Using the DVI cable.

Windows Vista Ultimate

Monitors native resolution according to the OCUK page is 1680x1050.

Mine only has:

1280x1024

and then the enxt option is

1920x1080

And thats my last 2 highest resolution settings. I cant see any other resolutions in the gaphics card options either to oerride the windows ones.

Running it in 1280x960 at the moment as that fits the best from the resolutions iv got available but its hurting my eyes a lot so im guessing this isnt a good resolution to the run the monitor at.

Any ideas how to fix this? I want to run the native res...
 
Well I rang the samsung support line and they arnt a support line, he eidndt even know what a resolution was. They just take notes down then pass you off.

He said because its within 28 days of purchase i must go back to OCUK and they will have to exchange my product.

OCUK line closes before i get back from work so iv not been able to call them.

If the guy above is right, that is TERRIBLE! service :o

Iv paid like £8 for this to be delivered to me, which also tuck about a month after countless failed promises.

Now it doesnt work properly they make us pay for it to be sent back (wont be cheap as its a large monitor)

Then pay for them to send us a new one...

Thats gotta be breaking some sort of laws or regulations... ?

I paid OCUK for the monitor which basiclly doesnt work. Therefore they should (like Samsung said) replace it. It shouldnt cost me a penny to send and receive it as I'v held my end up.

Surely they cant just say. Oh sorry its heap of crap u can now pay to send it back to us then pay for us to send you another which may also turn out to be a pile of crap and then pay to send that back?

I paid for delivery and also expected a working product...

if that is what they are saying where would I take this? Trading standards im guessing?
