How good just are these Apple cinematic displays?

The iq coming from my G4 powerbook 17" doesnt display imagary as good as my 17" crt (I know the crt would be better but this is a lot)

Just wondered thats all, how good at image quality these 23" badboys are?

Not sure about the specific 23" model but I have the 20" and it's stunning and my friend has the 30" and that's awesome.

Well the 20" isnt HD so that wasnt an option. I just want to know how it performs next to my screen in the apple laptop I have.

Premium panels from other manufacturers are more highly regarded than those from Apple. Perhaps you'd be interested in a 2407FPW.

I really would have that if it turns out the Apple wasnt good enough.

I really like the design of the Apple though. Thanks for the recomendation. Will bear that in mind.

I also have the G4 17" given to me with my Powermac G5 back in december.

The 17" is awful quality i found with screen burning very apparent.

I will be recieving a Dell 2007WFP 20" this morning will replace it.

I was going to go for the Cinema Display but opted for a cheaper and same qualty one. The import duty from apple is insane.

If i bought a 20" CD from apple US it would be like £350 but the UK sight states £550.

Really love the look of the CD but its just too expensive when the dell has the same IPS panel.

We use a 23" Apple Display in the studios to run Logic. It's a lovely screen, full HD, excellent brightness and IQ, but obviously I didn't pay for it - it's vastly too high a price to justify, unless you're more concerned with the Apple logo on the front than the performance.

Well since the G4 days they've upped the panel brightness twice and so I'd say based on that alone it's going to be a world of difference :)

I remember the difference between the iMac G5 and the intel iMac
