Hi guys, I generally use my PC for desktop work and trading, so loads of charts and graphs, yes I do a bit of gaming too but not the primary role.

My question is will the Samsung 23" be crisper than a 24" because of it's res in a smaller package?

If not, can anyone recommend a 20-24" that has excellent definition i.e. a high resolution in a small package.

Also with two of these 23" screens side-by-side, what would the comfortable viewing distance be?

I would think that it would possibly be a bit sharper, but I would also think that the difference would be negligable, and you probably wont see a difference in day to day use.

Id'e say just go with 24" :)

The 23 would be shaper than a 24. I'm happy with my 24" (1920x1200) because the dpi is similar to my old monitor which was 17" (1280x1024).

I think you'll be fine with the 23" dell or samsung. Though it wont be as sharp as the macbook pro 17" @ 1920x1200 but thats can be really eye straining when reading text imo.

Comfortable viewing distance would probably be down to personal preference, I have pretty poor vision so I find it most comfortable around 1.5-2 feet away for a 24"
