A friend is looking to spend up to £400 for a new monitor.

He currently has an aging 24" 1080p, 60hz screen. Ideally doesnt want to go much over 24", maybe 27".
I advised sticking with 1080p so his 3070 GPU doesnt struggle in gaming. He mainly plays Warzone 2.

I also advised going Gsync (I have an Acer Predator X34 that has been fantastic) and going to Gsync was a game changer for me.

Are there any monitors out there up to £400 that are 1080p, 24" 144hz or higher but also good quality? Probably best not going super his refresh rate as expect quality will take a hit

Looks like a solid 1440p screen to me, or the S2722DGM is similar spec a bit cheaper at £249 with a curved screen....but only Freesync so no listed support for being g sync compatible (yet.)
I was going to ask. What’s the difference between all the 100 odd options of Gsync / Freesync now?

My X34 is straight ‘Gsync’ now theres gsync, gsync premium, gsync compatible, freesync, adaptive freesync and many other options.
