I have a 5 year old iiyama screen that has served me well. But for photoshop its colours are somewhat off.

So i have decided to pick up an IPS 27" acer for more surface area and colours.

But, have any of your fine Gentlemen on here found a good way to make a 24 and a 27 inch monitor work side by side, or should i bite the bullet and get 2 27" ?

I only ask as i had a 17" before the 24 and when i tried to get them to work together, it was horrid.

I had a 32 inch a long side a 24 inch a while ago. Was a TV I wasn't using so just hooked it up so it wasn't gathering dust.

From my experience it just works. Make sure they are both set in their native resolutions and it should be good to go. You can adjust how 'high' they sitside by side virtually if that makes sense?

I.e. on the display setting if I set the screens so they were flush at the bottom virtually if I had my mouse in the 32inch screen right at the top and went to move it into the 24inch screen it wouldn't move over. If I had my mouse at the top of my 24 inch screen and moved it over it would enter the 32 inch screen about 3/4 of the way up.

My example was an extreme case so yours would be a lot smoother. I only ever had streams on the 32 inch so it wasn't as if I was bouncing between the two screens a lot... so it was never really an issue.

Hope that makes sense?

I was previously using a pair of 23" IPS monitors. I've just got a 27" 1440p IPS G-Sync one which i'm now using as my main, with the other two on either side. It's working well so far, even though the two 23" are only 1080p.

If you can get hold of another 24", maybe this setup would work for you.

I have 2 dells beside each other,a 27" and 24"

I dont tend to use the 24 that much and only use it for tv to be honest.

I sometimes use a 27" as main screen and 24" as secondary.
It's not too bad to be honest. Especially if the 27" is 1440p then the pixels are basically the same size so everything looks the same (just more space on the main one).
