24 Could Be Returning to FOX

Please no CTU plants/moles/double agents this time. And can it be arranged for Chloe to be killed off by episode 3 please? And please also arrange it for the head of CTU to not need to go and resolve an unrelated family crisis half way through the season and lasting for at least 8 episodes, eg: having to deal with a drug addict sibling, or having to go and find a baby sitter for Friday night, or forgetting to switch the gas off.

Sort that out and I'll set my Sky box for it without hesitation.
:D Too true.

For fans of 24 while you're waiting, I recommend The Unit. Stars Dennis Haysbert (David Palmer) and has a really great authentic vibe to it that a lot of other action shows like this just never seem able to get.

THIS!!! why the unit ever cancelled is beyond me :(

This could be some of the best TV news ever!!
24 is easily one of my favourite tv shows and I can only imagine it coming back, bigger & better!!! :D
DAM IT!!!! lol

This would be the best news ever. Season 8 was a slow burner but ended pretty well.

No show is as epic as 24 I hope that they keep the tension up and let Jack Bauer off the leash so he can do some major damage.

Show peaked in Season 5 but 7 started a recovery even if it started to drag a little bit, really enjoyed season 8 though so if they can keep it as good as that then I'll be happy.

'24' producer David Fury confirms show's return

Show peaked at Season 3 then all downhill from there. I gave up at Season 6, but it was the Season 4 debacle that convinced me that Surnow had finally lost it. Not really stoked for its return.

It will be interesting to see if its time off will help it, I stop watching weekly half way through season 8 and pick it up later on, it was just getting a little bit stale.

Also please no more Chloe!

I'd still like to see a spin-off using a historical plotline outlined but never explored in Series 1 showing the "Drazen mission" where Jack was doing black ops with SAS guys like Steven Saunders (Paul Blackthorne, currently in Arrow) under the jurisdiction of David Palmer.

Could be a tough sell if they want to use the original actors though given they have aged 10 years and it set in the past even then though!

Looking online the mission I was referring to was called Operation Nightfall: http://24.wikia.com/wiki/Operation_Nightfall

This is great news, As 24 was a great show with many cliffhangers that kept you enthralled.

Shame about Touch though, as it could have been so much better.

I wonder if Chloe might actually smile, in the new 24 shows.
