24 Could Be Returning to FOX

The original season 1 was only commissioned for 12 episodes and look how that turned out!

Unlike others though I thought season 8 lost its way. Especially with The US and Russian presidents. Keeping Jack alive seemed like a bit of a cop out as well given they always said they would kill him off.

However if they brought Tony back and gave him a final showdown with Jack it would make up for the somewhat lackluster day 7 ending.

Touch was junk, lmao.

Wasn't that bad, season 2 improved a lot too as it stuck with the main storyline, rather than branching off every episode with the irrelevant "person who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who Jake finds" nonsense.

hope its about that German organisation that nina was affiliated with in season 1 who ordered her to kill teri.

season 8 was originally meant to be a few weeks after the events of season 7 it was meant to carry on from that story.

dont know what happened to it. maybe they knew season 8 was going 2 be the last so had to change plot etc.

just quick update 24 limited series is confirmed they are doing it for sure, Kiefer Sutherland has sign up for new series and it been given the titled "24: Live Another Day"

Live Another Day? As long as it doesn't have any genetically altered North Koreans or Jack surfing a huge ice wave with a piece of metal, I will be happy :p

I'd still like to see a spin-off using a historical plotline outlined but never explored in Series 1 showing the "Drazen mission" where Jack was doing black ops with SAS guys like Steven Saunders (Paul Blackthorne, currently in Arrow) under the jurisdiction of David Palmer.

Could be a tough sell if they want to use the original actors though given they have aged 10 years and it set in the past even then though!

Looking online the mission I was referring to was called Operation Nightfall: http://24.wikia.com/wiki/Operation_Nightfall

I was actually hoping that the movie would do this, and that way we could get Palmer back etc. The only problem is no Dennis Hopper, so I don't know how they could do that, except maybe only refer to him from photos etc. Since there is no movie (at least for the time being), maybe this could work in the mini series. I think it would be a fantastic way to tie into Season 1.

The alternative idea, would be to explore the people who Nina worked for in Season 1. The other thing that wasn't explained (I could be wrong, as it's been a while) was who Mandy was working for and what happened to her after Season 4.

well I've read that it going to air in spring 2014, so if that the case production will begin some time this year.

i think it could easily be the German org who Nina as working for.

i thought season 8 would be about that. given it was previewed originally as being much more "personal" to jack.
