Right,

I am so confused. I tried searching for a thread, but couldnt find one as "24 day 7" filters out 24 and 7

So, What the hell ! It finishes, he's about to have stem cell treatment and die, Renee Walker is about to blatently kick the arse out of the Alan Wilson guy.... and The president is about to have her daughter given the chair for setting up the murder of Jonas ...

Have I missed a 'sneak' episide on my boxset that fills it all in, or does it literally just jump to that day 8 trailer ive found on the fox website... help !!!

(PS, Day 8 looks win)

That sounds about right.

I thought Day 7 was pretty poor. Tony Almeida's storyline made no sense, and I really felt the double cross when they got out of the helicopter was retconned. It's really starting to look like a composite of the past series. I doubt Day 8 will be much better.

Watched 3-7 all over the past few weeks, really liked them all but as Kiefer said, there's only so much you can do with Jack Bauer without becoming unrealistic.

7 was weak due to a change of cast but Renee turned out to be a great character, good setup for Day 8. Tony's double-double-double agent tactics were too far fetched for me, there's no way he could have possibly planned all of that, far too many variables.

have got this, a few of my friends got it for xmas... they said it alright but not as good as former seasons. which is to be expected..

Its now a case of if it makes money keep it running, when it stops making money it gets axed

I did enjoy season seven, but as above, everything about Almeada's story was too unbelievable.

Starting from the mere fact he was alive, to the reason he survived (it was so blatantly an afterthought that I simply chose to ignore it), the numerous double crossings, but probably most of all, yet another layer of yet another conspiracy that was actually the reason for Michelle's demise.

That being said, I still love Jack. :p

Sorry Chaps, maybe I wasnt clear !

I need to understand if that is actually how it finishes, or if there is some sort of hidden/deleted/directors cut scenes that occur between 7 and 8.. thats crazy otherwise !

No, that's absolutely how it finishes. Jack's on the bed with Kim by his side, saying about how she can't let him go, then.... *Blip, blip, blip, blip* (As in the clock, not the heart monitor ).

Disappointing, but true. :(

absolute madness. Thats really really disappointing. Maybe I'm wrong but im sure most other series seemed to 'tie in' to some extent. The end of season 1 with the handshake etc ... too many loose ends for my liking !!!

Why are you so confused Mr. OP? The last few seasons have ended in similar fashion.

They will be answered somewhat in the first episode or so of 24 season 8.

As others have said 24 has gone a bit loopy but I still enjoy it, I would agree with others that season 7 was one of the worst vs. the rest of the seasons, but they were all entertaining.

I really enjoyed season 7, like the man on the trailer said "Damn it I'm hooked again!"

I was a little disappointed in how they left the whole Tony Almeida but hopefully he'll end up saving Jack at some point in the next season :D

Agree with whoever it was that said Renee was one of the best things about season 7 ;)

Days 1 and 2 were great. Back when events actually occurred in real time.

Has all gone downhill since then

"The following events take place between 7AM and 8AM, on the day of the California Presidential Primary"

Even though it only had the latter part in the first season I still hear it every time :D

Starting from the mere fact he was alive, to the reason he survived (it was so blatantly an afterthought that I simply chose to ignore it)

Don't forget that when Tony 'died' he didn't get the silent clock as per all the other main character deaths. This points to them planning on a come back in later season(s).
