24" Dell problem and warranty

Hey
At the end of 06' I bought this LCD from OcUK. It is covered with 3years warranty.
Today after work I came home and Ive noticed black srtipe in top left corner of my LCD.
It looks like its one of the layers of LCD that came off and its just the border of one of them ( I hope I made myself clear as I dont know how to describe it ;) ) here is the picture that shows it ...

I tried to call Dell...they changed number...called new one...and there is no option for monitors heh...
have to try to call them again on monday...
Did something like this happen to any of You ?
And how Dell warranty service works like?is it any good?

Just ring them again and take whatever option looks like it will get you through to a person then they will transfer you to the correct dept probably.
 
rang them today....few mins on phone and Im gettin' new LCD bieng delivered tomorrow and mine is being collected.Great service!! :D
 
I had a problem with my 2407, big set of dead pixels suddenly appeared. Spoke to Dell customer service yesterday, and this morning a brand spanking 2408 arrived :D

Love the HDMI input on it, can use my alienware m15x lappy on it now. Sweet. :cool:
 
Dell usually ugrade also did you check your serial numbers?

CZ-xUY545xxx is 2407WFP
CZ-xDR474xxx is 2407WFP-HC
CZ-xCX268xxx is 2408WFP

otherwise they look identical we've had two upgrades at work

They replaced mine with refurbished one heh ..... anyhow...its still great LCD :D
