24 inch monitor for use with laptop

Looking for a 24 inch monitor to use with my laptop, either 1920x1200 or 2560x1440. What would you guys recommend? it will be for working on as an extension and gaming.

not bothered about gsync or high refresh rate but it has to be IPS. How long would a 1440p last me with my 1070? would i get an extra 2 years out of it? budget £300

16:10 better for working imho, and you get a nice solid 99% sRGB. Got good colour accuracy and surprisingly little input lag in the TFTCentral test: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2415.htm

I know 1200p will last longer with a 1070 but not sure if i can get used to the quality again

Or the 25" Dell U2515H. Can be found for slightly under £300.

Want to keep it to 24 inches as ill be transporting this monitor on the train 2-3 times a year and keep it compact, otherwise i would have just got a 27 inch
