Hello

Bit of advice if you would all be so kind

I have been trying to talk myself into buying a 27" iMac but cannot justify it with my MacBook Pro being more than enough for my uses.

So I am going to get a monitor to make working a bit more comfortable.

The choices are one of the 24" IPS monitors such as the Overclockers Dell one or one of the many non-IPS 27" ones. I cannot afford a 27" IPS really even though I could stretch to a 27" iMac if that makes sense.

The main reason for getting it would be to get more comfortable working with Lightroom and photos generally. I do this about once a week. The rest of the time it would be web/mail/word processing standard uses.

I wouldn't use any speakers that came with it.

Thanks

R

I am of the opinion that it is quality, not quantity, that counts.

Also, having both IPS and TN panels to look at, I would definitely recommend the IPS.

OK.
Thanks everyone
I have been reading about the problems with the Dell
What is the quality of them these days when bought from Overclockers?

If you have problems that are immediately noticeable, you can most likely RMA it.

I got a Dell last week and has no tinting issues, its been a bit quiet on that U2410 thread but that doesnt mean the tinting issues are resolved. Might be worth checking the Dell forum if you're still worried
