Hi all.

Just sorting out the desktop setup for my MBP Retina. I'm flicking between getting the 27" DGM or a pair of 24" 1920x1200 screens. One of the main uses for this will be coding and I've used two screens for that for a long time (my work desk has dual screens).

Can anyone recommend any screens in the ~£200 price range that are both IPS and have Display Port input? I want to use Display Port to avoid having to buy active DP to DVI adapters.

For coding two screens will probably be more beneficial than 1 big screen, of course you could get the 27" DGM plus a 24" screen on the side, having two screens doesn't mean they have to be the same size. At work I have a 24" and a 20"

This would bug me, and has done on previous setups - it's what part of what is putting me off just buying one screen and using the MBP's screen as the second/primary screen.

I have always used my MBP with another monitor. Anything from 20" - 27" seems fine when used with the MBP. The only thing I would recommend if you are doing that is to get a stand for the MBP to bring it up to the height of the other monitor.

I am just in the market for a new screen as well as my last 23" IPS died a backlight death and 20" is a little too small / colours are ****.

If I find anything useful I'll report back.
