Hi,
Would anyone please be able to advise me on a suitable monitor that meets the following requirements:
1. Matt finish in grey or black.
2. 16:10 or 16:9 aspect ratio but with a minimum viewable height of 12".
3. 24" or just above for the diagonal viewable distance. Not too much above 24" or 25" though.
4. Relatively low dot pitch, definitely no higher that 0.27mm, lower preferred.
5. Decent response time for gaming.
6. Preferable for a slimline bezel rather than acres of "land" around the viewable screen.
I am replacing a 20.5" 4:3 flat panel with a dot pitch of .25mm that has a viewable height of 12" so I do not wish to lose any height and any marginal gain on the height is OK.
The monitor will be used mainly for work using spreadsheets, databases and general use such as Internet etc. I may use it for gaming in the future so something that can take the best advantage of my GPU will be handy. The GPU is a 1gb NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT with DVI, HDMI and VGA outputs.
I do not need any sound built into the monitor but if a suitable monitor has sound then thats OK.
Budget - £600 with a slight increase for an outstanding candidate.
