If you play a game @ 1680 x 1050 does the image still fit the screen or do you have black edges? (I'm thinking of Crysis in particular as the native res may have to be dropped down).

I play crysis and CS source at 1680 x 1050 on my benq 24" and it fills the screen.

Even with the PS3 if a game isn't 1080p (like cod4) I just enable pixel aspect on the benq and it fills the screen, obviously looks a lot lower res then though

It totally depends on your monitor and which option you choose.

Native Res is 1920x1200, 1680x1050 will fit but it will be stretched (unless you change it/it defaults to 1:1).

It's always been Bony Maloney, what did you think it was? :) Getting used to the size now, initially I was like "That is just wrong :D"

OK then i was still thinking about your name and then you started talking about getting used to the size after reading about something bony.. but anyway.

MMm i didn't think the non HC was sold anymore. Is it worth hunting for one over the HC version then? I thought the ghosting problems wehre over so now there is a reason to get the HC?

im using a benqfp241w before i had a vx2025, res 1680x1050, with more modern games eg cod 4,crysis i run theese games full screen and compression aint to bad ive tried 1.1 but cant get used to the black borders all round, new 8800gts pre ordered should hopefully sort this, gaming @1920x1200 is to good, to be stepping the res down is a shame:o

Mine was a cancelled Dell order, brand new, boxed, fully guaranteed and dead pixel tested. They are still out there :)

personally id reccomend the benq fp241w every bit as good image wise as the dell 2407, plus you get hdmi connection, theyre both very good monitors but ive found the benq more versatile for connecting various devices

:EDIT: Ill have to try find one then, though i decided i wasn't going to go sli in the end as the 680I boards are terrible. But i think ill get a 24" screen anyway. A single GTS should be able to handle things fine except crysis right?

MM is the picture quality really the same on both of these? Though id rather a lower responce rate but dont want to compremize on the viewing angle. Perhaps in june there will be somethnig better out.
