Hi folks,
I'm due a monitor upgrade at work (two in dual screen) and i've been given the choice of three different monitors:
Samsung P2450H 24" LCD Monitor
Screen Size: 61 cm (24")
Screen Mode: HD 1080
Maximum Response Time: 2 ms
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Horizontal Viewing Angle: 170°
Vertical Viewing Angle: 160°
Mount Type: Wall-mountable
HDCP Support: Yes
Maximum Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Colour Support: 16.7 Million Colours (24-bit)
Contrast Ratio: 70000:1
Brightness: 300 cd/m²
Viewsonic 24" LCD Monitor
Screen Size: 60 cm (23.6")
Screen Mode: HD 1080
Maximum Response Time: 2 ms
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Horizontal Viewing Angle: 170°
Vertical Viewing Angle: 160°
Adjustable Display Angle: Yes
HDCP Support: Yes
Maximum Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Contrast Ratio: 1000:1
Brightness: 300 cd/m²
BenQ 61cm 24" LCD Monitor
Screen Size: 61 cm (24")
Screen Mode: HD 1080
Maximum Response Time: 5 ms
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Horizontal Viewing Angle: 170°
Vertical Viewing Angle: 160°
Mount Type: Wall-mountable
HDCP Support: Yes
Maximum Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Colour Support: 16.7 Million Colours
Contrast Ratio: 1000:1
Brightness: 300 cd/m²
I'm not sure as to what my best choice would be. I've had a look at the specs of each and have ruled out the BenQ as it doesn't even seem to have a model number and is the cheaper of the three with the highest response times.
My gut feeling is the samsung as it seems to have a brilliant contrast ratio compared to the other two and technical specs suggest there is 1cm more viewing space (and it's viewing space that I want more than anything).
As far as my job goes, I dont do any graphical work as such, it's more report designing, programming, sql etc...mostly text. But as I look at it for 8+ hours as day I want the best looking one.
I thought i'd call on the expertise of OcUK to help me out here!
Does anybody own any of these and would recommend? What would you guys go for if you were in my shoes?
Thanks a lot for any assistance!!
