Ok guys, I currently have the Asus Strix GTX 970 and play on a 1920x1080p 27" Asus 60hz monitor:

I have to say I am totally underwhelmed by the performance of this monitor and wanted to know what is best for gaming at this resolution 24" or 27", because I'm seriously considering going back to a 24" monitor.

In addition to this, I may soon be upgrading the card to a 980ti and would like some advice on a monitor to make use of such a card. Unfortunately my budget is only £300-£450.

Thanks for your time

If your getting a 980 ti then the only gaming monitor to get is the swift...however new Asus IPS panels are coming with GYSYNC ..I would save up until you can go 1440p and GYSYNC.

The 980ti overclocked eats 1440p for breakfast and so 60fps is easily attainable. As you are used to 60hz i would buy a cheaper 1440p monitor as g-sync is not needed unless you get constant dips under your refresh rate and you can save a lot of money this way. If you like smaller screens why not get a 25" 1440p for extra pixel density which is nice.

What exactly is wrong with your current monitor then? Input lag, blur, 1080p pixel density at 27"
