24 or 27 monitor?

I tried 1080p on a 27 inch monitor, its not for me, the DPI is horrible. At that size screen it needs to be 1440p and above.

Thanks my thoughts also.

A monitor you sitting right onto of it, 1080p on a 27" won't look better than 24"

The DPI is much bigger also effecting the IQ of the image. Plus you also get very high amount of anti aliasing because of the bigger DPI making you to start using more GPU power to smooth the image out.

With regards to resolution, size, distance:

In summary:
It's a highly individual matter. I'm using a 42" HDTV (1080p) from a 1m distance. And it's GOOOOOD (...except for the relatively high input lag my particular set has).

Everyone shoul go check the local brick-and-mortar store, and see for themselves. I'd recommend starting from 27" 1080p.

Like you pointed out and the threads also turned into a debate.
Am the opposite and think 24" for 1080p anything above the resolution needs to be higher.
So 27" 1440p etc
I am very sensitive to higher pixel density and that's probably because I sit just over a foot from the screen.

I find 27" to be a little too large for gaming if you are sitting close to it.

Still, I kept my 27" so far because it is good for movies.

But yeah I'm tempted by that £180 AOC monitor, cos this screen is used for gaming 99% of the time anyway.
