24-Port Gigabit Switch Recommendation

I need to replace a few small switches that are daisy chained in an office. Performance is awful and ports are failing. It was setup a number of years ago before I took over the other day so need to get this sorted.

The daily work for the switch is terminal services so no big files are being transferred. I've been looking at a few and there seems to be quite a few HP Procurve switches and even Netgear/D-Link switches available.

Any recommendations for a rack mountable gigabit 24-port switch that would fit the bill?

Thanks

UnManaged would be fin as each client does the same role but I know having the ability to monitor the lan could be good thing if network issues arise.

I know the Netgear stuff is cheaper but how are they for performance over the HP?

I use a few of the smaller managed versions of the NetGear GS1xxE series and they've worked pretty well so far - the software side could do with being a little more elegant but generally fairly functional with good performance (sometimes you might have to disable power saving features for performance/stability).

EDIT: Had various D-Link and Belkin (urgh) switches before that which I really couldn't recommend.

1920's have £50 cashback with a module at the moment so if you're thinking of using a fibre link then might be worth looking at?

Thanks for the input. Always liked the HP stuff so will most likely go for that one mentioned.

I take it the rack mount brackets are included?

What's the story with the HP 1810-24G v2? I ordered it over a week ago and it's delayed because of no stock. I can't find it if I browse the website now and other websites have it out of stock also.

Have HP discontinued it or have they a shortage?

J9980A is a non-POE 1820-24G

The SKU for the 1810-24G V2 on Quickspecs is J9803A and two of our HP trade distributors don't even recognise the code. I'd cancel and re-order the 1820 if it's a similar price.
