Hi guys

Going to buy a new monitor and need to know which is the best for gaming and films. I am a big gamer going to get crossfire 4870 and finally want the best 24" monitor to play my games on in full HD (aka fear 2, Crysis...)

I have been looking at the dell 2408wfp a01 and the samsung t240. Is there any others that match or improve on these? which is the best quality screen for gaming and films??

Please let me know!! as i am desperate to get one of these monitors... or 2 lol!!

Thanks for your help guys!! it is true been reading of new monitors coming out soon and is there any news on which ones look the best specswise and at 24"?

I look at the dell and BenQ and think that this is the year they will bring out the best monitors ever so that they can keep up with apple and there LED monitors!! According to a lot of news sites, This year LED will be more readly available! i know i know the prices will be ridiculous!

Also i havn't heard anyones views on the samsung t240, TN panels are the best for games but is this a good monitor? what are the main problems?

Also with the Dell, been hearing about backlight bleed and with the BenQ it is more a desktop monitor than a gaming monitor is this true??
 
really!! thought the 6ms response time and the fact it wasn't TN would make it harder for games? Also how old is this panel? wont they bring out a new and improved version of this monitor?
 
i am looking at the dell 2408wfp more and more as the customer service is pretty reliable!! also the monitor is brand new and with the A01 revision, the input lag is much better than the previous model.

right i know the BenQ is one of the best of the best but it is 2+ years old and supposedly age is catching up according to some sites! some say that the dell is now better with the latest A01 revision than the BenQ!

I now do have a budget but the Dell would be in it! looking at the TN panels, which are the best TN panels on the market that can rival the dell and the BenQ?? reason i ask, i would like to have 2 24" monitors!!
 
should i just wait for the nest wave of new monitors to come in? because if i get the dell 2408wfp and then 3 months later the new version of it or something better for the price comes out, i will kick myself!! what do you think?? when are the new monitors coming out?
 
any comparisons with the G2400WD, t240 and the 2408wfp?? still looking for the perfect monitor and the only thing stopping me from getting the benq f series is how old it is and the fact that the new models are out this year!! which then leads me onto the dell 2408wfp as the monitor of choice but the price is putting me off!! then that leads me to the t240! and then the circle starts again!

any views on what to do??
