Evening gents,

I've had a 22" Samsung 226BW for over three years - fantastic monitor. Last week I grabbed a second one from flea bay. I've used a dual monitor setup at work for the last 2 years, and have toyed with the idea at home for some time. Turns out that although essential in my work place, its not the same at home - taking up room on my already small computer desk, and despite looking pretty cool, giving me an indirect headache due to my girlfriend's moaning about spending money on something I don't really need!

In keeping with the contradictory state of the female mind, when I mentioned flogging the two Samsungs and buying a single 24" monitor, I had her blessing! Strange creatures...

So, would my single 460 struggle with a 24" res while gaming? I would love to SLi, but with my i7 system being less than a month old, I simply can't afford another card, or a bigger PSU. So its single card setup for the time being.

If it won't struggle too much, any recommendations for a 24" gaming monitor? Guessing I may get a hundred for each of the Samsungs, so max budget around 250.

Any advice appreciated.

With a GTX 460 1GB you should generally be hitting ~60FPS even if you go for a high end 24in witha 1920x1200 res. If you go for a more common 1920x1080 res 24in, then these framerates wil be even higher. Here are a few GTX 460 review which show games playing at these resolutions: [1][2][3] (each of these reviews has a drop-down menu to see performance in other games).

if you can run the 2 samsungs at 1680*1050, then surely 1980*1050 will be fine too.
Cant u talk her upto 27.5" hanns g at £ 255 ?
