Just wondering if there is a huge difference between the two 24" dells.

Dell TrueColour E248WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - £258.49

And

Dell S2409W 24" Widescreen True HD LCD Monitor - £229.11

Will be looking to upgrade from my 19" , also will be getting a wacom bamboo tablet.

(^ regarding the tablet, is the "fun" version worth the extra over the standard?)

The E is a 16:10 ratio monitor while the S is a 16:9

It depends on your usage to be honest, if it's all media, the 16:9 is the way to go, if it's a lot of work, go for the 16:10

Well, half of my time on the computer is based around photoshop, with the other half being gaming.

So that leaves me at a loss =P

TN doesn't even have even brightness when looked straight on:

VAs have horizontal gamma shift in dark colours so neither are they very good leavuing IPS as clearly best choise.

Ah, the thing is i don't even need a viewing angle from the side, i look straight on at the pc

+ It's mainly for the resolution ( up from 1440x900 19" ) jump

Unless you have an extraordinarily large head and eyes set very far apart (preferably arranged vertically), you'll still find the off-angle gamma shift will make a big TN panel unsuitable for serious Photoshop work...
