2405fpw upgrade

Would one of the 120hz panels finally be a worthwhile upgrade for my aging dell 2405fpw?
It's more than held its own again the overdriven panels but as I understand it the 120hz screens are likely to do a better job?

Considering going 3D also so it's obviously needed for that.

You'd possibly have mixed thoughts.

The response/refresh etc will feel immensely better but the viewing angles and colors will be significantly worse.
