2407WFP panel?

Yes, thats what I read also. But in the pictures I ve seen at the place were they state LTM240M2 mine says HN208L6. Maybe a new format for the same panel, or they switched!

I think the panel has been listed as HN208L6 since the A03 revision but this is probably just a Dell code for the same panel as before.

yeah they started "hiding" the panels using their own internal codes. It's the same on the 2007WFP, but there's no panel lottery with the 24" model

Thanks, good to know. However, they could always just be honest to the consumer and say what it is in simple English.

hey baddass

how could are these panels and whats their best characteristics, is there a difference between this and the benQ?

i read somewhere that thedell share the same panel as the sammy?

p.s by the way i got it but its getting taken back there is in internal scratch on the panel of some kind and it has taken out about 6 px, dell are taken it soon and another one is coming. (notvery lucky with panels mate but dell CS is def better).

man, ATI, you're not having much luck are you!! The Dell uses the samsung Samsung S-PVA panel as the Samsung 244T as you thought. S-PVA os quite comparable really to P-MVA (they are rivaling technologies) and so the Dell is similar really to the Dell. Glad to hear Dell's CS is good so far :)

Same Same here A04 Mar 07

Very impressed with the quality, good colours, deep black, no banding. 1:1 works 1080p quality is amazing.

Tested PS/2 via component and DVD player via RGB works fine.

Only pain is that you have to change Modes for Desktop, Multimedia or Games. But this would apply to any Monitor I suppose.

Anyone know if Dell makes a utility that allows this to be done by Software?

I use desktop for all, not seen much difference tbh when switching. Everything is perfect, except from the slight motion blur all LCDs suffer still.

I've been using the relevant mode for the task but have been finding that multimedia mode seems to be darker than the other 2 modes. Anyone else thought that?

Massively improved viewing angle compared to previous screen (TN), and like it flexibility with turning it etc.

The Faroudja Video Processor gets switched off in Desktop Mode. Ive noticed a big difference when using Multimedia Mode for playing Video. The screen turns a lot brighter and sharper and Video plays a lot smoother.

Viewed Ice Age 1080p Sample and it looked stunning.

However I find Multimedia Mode too bright to use all the time. So keep having to switch.

Try finding 1080p files in MKV format (Matroska).

Play them in Media Player Classic which can be downloaded from here: http://www.matroska.org/downloads/windows.html

Need to set 2407 in Multimedia Mode before playing them.
