2409 Dell Resolution problems!

ok guys im probably being stupid here and missing something but after installing windows 7 from XP i cant seem to get 848x480 res to go max screen like i could in XP, i manly use this res for CS:S and i cant use any other res and it just feels and looks stupid!

everytime i select the res im getting massive black borders around the window am i missing something here or is this a problem within windows 7?

Looks like 1:1 pixel scaling. It may be that there is a setting on your monitor that has enabled 1:1 scaling or that the drivers in Windows 7 have been set to do this.

Try having a mooch around the monitor options. I don't have Windows 7 so i'm not sure if it's this that's doing it.

was perfectly fine in windows xp, tis so annoying

I know that nvidia cards have the option for this. You go into the nvidia control panel and then into 'change flat panel scaling' on the left to change it.
