24hr shops and release dates

hello, just wondered if 24hr shops would put games out @ 12am on their release, as i would hope and expect...never been down so early to pick anything up before.

don't wanna wait till 9am!

nope most of the electrical dept staff wont be in till the morning shift

I once got all the way through to the point of sticking my card in the pin reader before they decided that no1 had the keys to the games draw. :rolleyes:

Aside from them actually getting stock out on shelfs as the above poster said...

Trading hours for the next day don't really technically begin until the next morning. A mate of mine nearly got arrested in a Dominos Pizza restaurant when he tried arguing at 1:30am in the morning that as it was now Tuesday morning he was entitled to the 2 for 1 deal... however it was still Monday operating hours, despite being Tuesday.

ah well i'll give it a miss...cba driving a 20mile round trip if theres a chance i wont come home forza 2 richer...i'll just go out in the morning to a shop where i can use my gift voucher

Sad as it is, I went to Tesco at midnight on the release day of GTA:SA and they had it on the shelves for sale.
