What would be the performance boost coming from a gtx 460 1gb Directcu?
Because that chart doesn't specify the 448 version of the 560ti.

Yes it does......the score is 67.46 fps

460 GTX - 1gb (Nvidia reference ) = 35.2 fps

It must be noted, that this is only indicative performance, as each software program will perform differently with different hardware, but it gives you an idea of scale.

Tempted, but im not sure how much this will help on games like bf3 and borderlands.
In comparison with my lame 460.

Will the actual card ie 560ti still be around for a while? Tempted to replace my 5850's finally and get one now and one further down the line.

I'd be buying a 7850 regardless because of its overclocking headroom, cooling and 2GB VRAM.

well, lets just taKe the info available at the offer time, for each card.

cost:
GTX 560Ti 448 = £124.99

Cheapest 7850 = £155.99

Performance wise (at stock) and only indicative of in game performance, and keeping in mind it is not the exact model of the GTX 560 448 (lower core clock)

Battlefield 3 DirectX 11 Performance

1920x1080 Graphic Quality: High Field Of View: 75

It would appear that the "bang for buck" argument holds water for the GTX 560 Ti 448 does it not?
