24mm f1.4 v 16mm f1.8 for landscape astrophotography

I went for the Sigma Dg hsm 24mm F1.4 thinking the extra 2/3 stops will also come in useful for other things along with apsc mode, when required. I'll take a look at the NPF rule. Thanks for the reply :)
