25" 1440p Monitors

How do people find 25" 1440p monitors? I'm trying to decided about getting one but worried screen text could be too small.

You can adjust text size, I mean, 1440p is fine on my 8" tablet after all

I have an Acer 23" (or 24" cant remember) monitor and it has about the same dpi as a 15.6" laptop with Full HD. Perfect in my view with no scaling. What I dont understand is 4K laptops...

Yeah they are brilliant mate, just adjust the size of text in control panel.

I would rather not get a 1440p monitor if your going to have to increase the text size. I'd rather go for a 1920x1200 24" monitor as it will save me having to buy a new GPU.

Would you recommend this AOC or the Dell U2515H? Shame there was no direct comparison.

Dell haven't been able to provide a U2515H review sample, so you can blame them for that. However; I have done some simple testing with one and I'd advise referring to TFT Central's excellent review. It depends on your requirements. Gaming and general purpose? The AOC gets my vote simply because it's cheaper and I prefer the slightly richer look afforded by its gamma behaviour. The gamma tracking is more accurate on the Dell, so if you also edit photos etc. and don't own a colorimeter then the Dell is a better option.

Thanks, PC is used primarily for gaming. Any editing takes place on the MacBook.

Looks like AOC wins, I'll check out that review and just make sure the Dell doesn't have massively better input lag response though.

Just pay particular attention to the line "You shouldn’t worry about this unless you specifically know you are particularly sensitive to input lag."
