I have the above to spend on the card. I want the best possible value card I can get and baring in mind I have just got married and hava a baby on the way(therefore will never have money again :p) I want a card that will last a while.

My main aim is to have one that will play BF3 at the best graphics I can get @1920x1080.

I really cant strech too far past the £300 mark unless its to cover postage, I know the 580 is the card I really want but thats just outside my range unless Overclockers have a crazy daily deal coming up

So anyways any help would be great, I am not fussy if its AMD or Nvidia as long as it fill the requirements above

Wait for the 28nm cards if you plan to have the card last for a while. Even if you get a GTX590, it goes out-dated by the end of this year.

I have the money right now and if I wait I fear it will all go on the wife and the baby. So anyone have any ideas?

I have a 580 for sale but i don't qualify to use the trade section of this forum yet, make an account on the evga forums and pm me.

I dont really want a used card. The chance that its been caned is too much for me. Im really leaning towards a 570 at the moment but the VRAM worries me with BF3

Just seen this card http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-150-EA&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1010

Does anyone know whether the extra VRAM makes a diffrence?I Have looked for reviews and looked on Anandtech bench but there seems to little info on this yet

just started a thread on about this card, looking for some info too, havent been able to find much so far. the vram on the card is very tempting as it was the one thing thats been putting me off the nvidia cards

Same with me, I was even considering the 6950/70 but want a 580, thinkimng this could be the compromise, I want to see at least some benchmarks first though

Np, don't really wanna sell it but need the cash for a new monitor.
The evga 2.5Gb HD is a decent card but u will need good case airflow as most of the hot air will stay in the case.

I'm also looking for a new card ready for BF3.

I've always had ATI for the past 5 years or so, so naturally was looking at a 6950 2Gb. How does that 570HD compare though? For around £80 more what kind of performance gain could I expect over the 6950 2Gb?

Exactly the question I want answered :D

I'm about to order, any thoughts on the above question?

EDIT: Too late, went for the 6850, couldn't justify the extra and I've had ATI for many years. Could always put the extra £80 towards another 6850 in a couple of months :)
