£250-300 upgrade for friend

My friend is wanting to upgrade his comp.

Currently has 3200 AMD64, Neo 2 mobo, 1GB DDR and a 9800pro, Antec Trublue 480w (not 2.0 compatible).

I have found the:

E2180,
Asus p5k,
2GB Crucial Ballistix 6400,
EVGA 8800GT and finally
Corsair 650watt PSU

for £338.28 inc delivery but is there anyway to make this cheaper?

The only way I think you could drop it down a bit is by lowering the PSU to a 520 watt, although I doubt you'd be saving much there anyway

You could save about £10 on the PNY 8800GT 512mb, maybe £1 on the Ram and that is about it I think unless you want to change the motherboard as well to something like the Abit IP35-E.

True but have you checked out the price for the TX 650w at the moment? It is only £55 inc Vat which is a bit of a bargain.

That's a nice price for a good PSU. But don't forget that its not modular

Could always switch the 8800GT to an ATI 3850.

If you're that keen on price cutting of course.
