£250 for graphics card

from what i have read you should be looking for a 7950 and overclocking it, for best bang for buck in that price range.

7950 and use HDMI.

MSI Twin Frozr or the Asus DirectCU version.
Both have excellent cooling but if you want to overclock i'd go for the MSI.

I would personaly go with the 7950 from Gigabyte as they overclock very well. The 660TI is a decent card 'out of the box' and copes well in all games. The trouble with the Nvidia side of the GPUs is the price. They are over priced currently and can't compete in the price per performance with AMD.

7950 are great cards and have awesome OC'ing potential.

The difference between HDMI and DVI-D is simply that HDMI carries sound. There is very little/no difference in image quality. However, HDMI doesn't have as high resolution capabilities compared to DVI-D. I think.

Cam.

How does the 660Ti compare to the 7950 in benches? Anyone got a link? I know someone will say google but im know theres a good one floating about here with all the latest cards, anyone got it?

Be nice to see the difference.

I too say 7950 shame the 660s are not coming down in price, free games have infact put the prices up! So much for being free eh?

currently got 2xnvidia 260 cards and cant go any longer due to space - they are 10.5" or 267mm long, the amd cards all seem an inch longer is that correct?
