I'm toying with the idea of changing from this asrock board to a DFI board to get better overclock, this voltage limmit is annoying me off on the asrock. see my sig for details.
Anyway if i'm getting shot of the Asrock, i'll need to find a replacement graphics card since i'm running AGP at the moment.

I reckon I can spare about £250 topps for a new card.
I think the board I will get is going to be the SLi-DR Expert but by habit i've always been an ATi man. Still I was thinking of making the change to Nvidia and see how they are, would make sense in an SLi board.
Anyway let me know what's best to get so I can make a decision on what to get.
btw it's mostly Battlefield 2 that I play, so really whatever card works best with it. I'm fed up of the X850's fan screaming its **** off every time I play strike at karkand map with the fog and all...
Oh just to say it will be running at my tv's native resolution of 1360x768

is there much point in me getting the SLI-DR expert board then if i'm not running Nvidia.. do i spend the extra money and get the Crossfire support model at £150 or nip to my local comp store and get the Ultra-D for £50? Will the ultra-d overclock as nicely as the Expert?

Sod it, just took the plunge... Had a look in the B-grade section and found an MSI ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB for £250 can't be bad, so I ordered it.. Hope i did the right thing! lol
It'll be a step up from the X850XT AGP anyway.. and now atleast it gives me the freedom to upgrade my motherboard whenever I want.
*looks at calender* when's my next bonus lol. :D

Blimey £250, what a rip, so you've bought a repaired/or 2nd hand x1900 for a tenner less than a brand spanking new one. :(

As long as it's still warrenty'd i'm not bothered. Think of it this way.. free delivery!

Cracking card, will be a huge boost in performance over the x850, i went from an x800 XT PE to an x1800 512mb, and the performance increase is staggering, enjoy.

Anyone else interested can get the x1900xt for £240 brand new if you look around online. Now if I could somehow justify the purchase to myself since I've never spent more than £130 on a video card.............
