For that I'd want a RAID card and run redundancy and speed (0+1) on 2TB hdds and an SSD for the OS + OthercrapthatsneededforOSsortofstuff

I was just giving him a taster for what he can get from self building, 3 670's would also be quite nice.

They'll be coming soon... I hope!

OcUK can build any spec you want for a fee. Not sure how much though. I'm thinking £100-150 odd :confused:

I wonder though... If you have no time to build it, do you really have the time to use it? (or let's be honest: PLAY with it? :))

Can always ask them to change a few things if you want? 2 x 670's and £300 to play with, just the gpu's are on air, and the 3770k is older, can use the spare cash to switch to Haswell motherboard and CPU.

Both points are valid, building it will take up less time than a single gaming session (say 4-7 hours), watercooling adds a little extra time however if you've never done it before.
 
Yeah, building your first loop can take a while if you're unfamiliar.

Still, it's so much more satisfying to DIY it, and for what you get for your money compared to a pre-built system, it's worth it.

Could just put it together over a few sessions rather than dedicate a day to it? You'd learn a lot more and you'd have the satisfaction (assuming it went smoothly :p)
