Is the only difference the built in graphics ??? Clock speeds looke the same or is the K unlocked??
 
As mentioned, K is unlocked which means it can be overclocked - the non-K series can't be overclocked (as can only overclock by changing the fsb - which has a very low wall on all boards).

I wonder if this will always be the case with these CPU's. I know it's a different architecture but would hope that future motherboards would allow higher FSB speeds (or is the low FSB limited by the CPU?).

limited by the fact that things like the SATA and PCIe share the same clock gen, so it can throw your graphics and hard drives (at least) out of whack, although for benching if I remember right I saw some people pushing PCIe as far as 120MHz a while back.

would be cool if some mobo manufacturer built a board with its own clockgens for those parts, although...
a) intel wouldn't like it
b) it might not be possible due to having to keep certain things in synchronous operation

that isnt stricly true with the limited overclocking on non K versions you can add the extra 4 multi that is availabe plus the turbo mode. So on a 2500 you would have 3700 then the turbo would work over and above that so you could have 3800 using 4 cores, 3900 using 3 cores and so on.

but you have to have a p67 board, it doesn't work on h67's.
