2500k @5ghz.. Worth upgrading to a 3770K?

I`m try to hold off on the full PC upgrade as not got the funds at the minute.

My good problem is I own a 1080ti but I`m sure I`m not getting the most out of it.

Would buying the 3770k and overclocking to 5ghz be a worthy upgrade to help with gaming?

I game at 2160x1200 HTC vive

I think I will stick with my 2500k then it seems until I can afford a true upgrade
