2500k and ASRock Z77 Pro4-M Team vulcan 2400 speeds?

Hi all
Curently aquiring parts for my GF's pc build and i just wanted to check what RAM speeds i'll be getting with this RAM
i've got 16gb of Team vulcan orange 2400 ddr3 ram and form what i can tell my Chip doesn't support those speeds or am i wrong?

it should run at that yes if the ram is rated at that speed

I will say it might be difficult with 16gb at 2400mhz,you would need to try but around the 2133mhz should be doable

8gb would run at 2400mhz though

hahaha i don't mind downclocking the ram is it pretty easy? ive never overclocked ram usually just set the xmp profile , will it be the same thing? i don't want to mess around with timings the thought of it just sounds scary!

yh you can select whatever speeds from a list in the bios
