2500k at stock ok for Vive with a 1080?

I would want to use 1.5-2.0 super sampling as well.

Anyone using a 2500k at stock?

My board doesn't overclock unfortunately

As far as i know ss is gpu dependent rather than cpu, obviously a better cpu will be better but not essential.

I'm reading mixed reviews minus the ss part which you have confirmed, that CPU is essential for VR overall?

What is your 2500K clocked at ? I get my RIFT coming in on Wednesday and can disable 2 cores and set your clock rate to see if it runs well.

Well, I can tell you that the 2500k at 4.5GHz is just fine. That's what I have. I would imagine that at stock it might pull you down. The issue here is maintaining 90fps.
However, with the new Async Spacewarp stuff you might be OK.
