2500k Auto Voltage

Hi

Just added a H100i GTX watercooler to my 2500k and its running fine at 4.5 (30 degree idle, 55ish stress testing).

All I did was alter 1 bios setting and the volts etc are all on auto.

Should I just leave it like that or try and find the lowest voltage I can use?

I wouldn't leave it on auto as board can overvolt by quite a bit sometimes. Now you have a ballpark figure for 4.5ghz change it to manual and tweak the voltage downwards.

1.42v is pretty bad for 4.5ghz. i would see how low you can get the voltage.

Should I be looking at VCore or VID.... Can't seem to change VID

change vcore, VID can't be changed. my 2500k has run for 4 years at 4.5g an 1.29 volts

So 1.38 isn't so bad then.

Got it on 4.6 now, will see how low I can get the VCore.

Mine has run at 4.5 Ghz @ 1.35v for the last 2 years. Yours is a bit high (at others have said).

Got it down to 1.32 ish at 4.5, will do for me
