2500k "clock interrupt on secondary cpu" BSOD

I can't help much, but I can say what I've been saying a lot recently on the use of IBT. The peak power of your SB chip is 32 times the clock speed, so at 4.2 the max would be 4.2*32 = 134.4 GFLOPS. You need to use more memory, so that it reaches 80% or more of the peak. I.e. close more progs and keep running ad increasing the memory (use custom if it helps) until youre seeing 0.8*134.4 = 108 GFLOPS or more. If you're seeing 58 GFLOPS it's not stressing the CPU.

I am using custom at the moment and disconnected from the internet and closed anti virus (mse), what other programs can I close? the only one left open is IBT, what can I close via the task manager? Thanks Joeyjojo!!

Using about 3400mhz of ram, with available 230mhz left.

I think I may know why ibt is reporting low Gflops, I did not have win7 sp1 installed and I understand that you need avx to fully use 2.51v of IBT? Anyway I am now installing sp1, so hopefully it should work now.

Ok got ibt running with sp1, just done a quick run of 5 and Gflops is showing 108, still using only 3gb of ram so there is more to come, going to adjust to run with more ram for about 20 runs and see if the system throws up any errors.

Just completed 20 runs, using 3300mhz and had 112 Gflops and a pass, My temps were 68 avg @ 4.2 ghz, though once again this randon v-drop reared it`s head again and was @ 1.25v load, good in the sense that it passed @4.2 at those volts, though worrying that I dont know where I am with my O/C cause it is hard set @ 1.31!!!:eek:

Anyway thanks for the heads up on IBT, I can use this now, knowing that it is being used correctly! Still need need to get to the bottom of this issue though :(.
