just installed my new rig:

I5 2500K + Mugen 2
GB GA-Z68X-UD3-B3
Gigabyte GTX570 1280MB GDDR5 320-bit interface OC Ver 780Mhz
Kingston 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1333Mhz
Seasonic 620W Modular
Samsung 1TB Sata II 32MB SpinPoint F3
LG DVD-RW x22 Dual Layer
Lancool K62

CPU came with a 1.360Voltage AUTO, isn't that a bit too high?

Atm I am running at 4 Ghz, with 1.300V (reduced the default a bit), after full P95 LRAGE FFT test, temp reaches 65c MAX... shall I go any further? what now?

get to 4.5 Ghz on same volts and test stability? add some more V? don't want the CPU to go any hotter, isn't 65c high enough?

Thanks

P.S, i just want to work stable 24/7, not trying to break any records!

If you are happy with current performance then leave at 4GHz and reduce the vCore and see how low you can get it and remain stable. I was fine with 1.2v at 4GHz and temps in low 50s at full load. If you want the maximum performance for least effort then I would bump the multiplier up to 45 with the current vCore of 1.3 and see if you are stable. I've not updated my sig but that is my current settings and it runs stable in the high 50s very low 60s under full load.

the temps ok.

but its not just volts that make the chip hotter clocks do as well.

with them temps you should easy get to 42x 43x

i would get a new cooler if you want to go higher.

try reseating the cooler you might get better temps
