2500k overclock using a gigabbyte z68...missing CPU Vcore setting

Although the basic principles are the same for the z68 as the p67 for overclocking the K chip some of the processes for upping the vCore and terminology isn't.

I wouldn't use DVID on the gigabyte personally for overclocking, it caused me a lot of grief, prime unstable... bsods in windows sometimes wouldn't even boot, even though the volts were generally the same as using load line level control. I stick with my settings which work perfectly for me atleast, might be the same generally on yours?
 
Great guide and resulting thread Neil79. The OP should be prime stable at 4.5GHz by end of tomorrow night (chip permitting).

Interesting about the DVID on the Gigabyte - having said that i've only clocked one z68 board and that was only 4.3GHz (for a friend) - so i didn't have to play around much with settings.
