2500k Overclocking settings help?

Ok, so I'm new to overclocking and need a bit of help.

I currently have the following:

i5-2500k
P67-GD65
6950 (flashed to 6970)
A50 cooler
Antec 300
Ripjawx 8GB

What do I need to do to overclock my processor to 4.5GHZ? I know there's guides but each tell me slightly different steps, and considering I've just bought the setup I don't want to be breaking anything.

All the guides are slightly different because every system is unique. The SB thread in the CPU's forum gives plenty of good hints.

At it's most basic it's as easy as going into the overclocking menu in the BIOS, leave everything on auto and gradually move the multiplier up to around 38-40, testing as you go.

If you want to go higher then manually fix the voltage at something like 1.30 and raise the multiplier by 1 and test until you are happy.

Best to give it a try and come back with some more specific questions.
