2500k temp

Hi I bought a gaming bundle from ocuk this week, they have overclocked my 2500k to 4.6ghz, but playing Battlefield 3 beta can bring the temps up as high as 73c should i be worried or just leave it? Also i ran Prime for about one minute before the temps hit 83c and i quickly stopped it.

What cooler did you get with the bundle? Also, when did you buy the bundle as it looks like the cooler might need reseating. What about case and airflow? If you have a decent cooler, then you might be lacking in the airflow departing for it to shift air in and out the case.

Hi, I have a Antec 900 case with all fans set on max, the cooler is a Corsair A50. I bought the bundle Monday. I just removed the cooler and re-applied the paste (Arctic silver 5) and temps seem pretty much the same. I have a new case coming Monday so hopefully that will bring them down again. Also my room temp isn't that warm.

Have you got the Corsair A50 in push/pull or has it only got 1 fan attached and what direction is it facing?

Hi I just have the one fan attached blowing towards the back of case so blowing through A50 and then through the systems 120mm fan which is exausting out of the case. Since re-applying the paste my temps have actually come down abit just done 20mins on Battlefield 3 Beta with max temp of around 67.
